President Donald Trump has turned his fixation on Republican rear ends to a female.
Trump, 80, has been thirsting over the bodies of male Republicans during his midterm rally blitz this month. He has repeatedly discussed the physique of 59-year-old Ohio Sen. Jon Husted.
“I’m studying his body,” Trump gushed at a North Carolina rally last Tuesday. “I’ve never studied the body of a man before; it’s not my thing.” He added, “But I looked at his a--, and then I looked at his legs… It’s like a pile of muscle.”
However, Trump found a new backside to admire during a rally in Michigan on Sunday.
The president was joined by MAGA rapper Nicki Minaj. Before she appeared on stage, Trump again repeated his Husted anecdote on Sunday, but added, “By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful a-- before: Nicki Minaj. That’s hard to miss. Stand up. That’s hard to miss.”
The crowd chanted, with Trump noting, “I hope Nicki wasn’t insulted, but we love Nicki, she’s been with us a long time.”
Minaj, 43, became a major proponent of twerking, with hit songs including “Super Bass” and “Anaconda,” based on a sample of Sir Mix-a-Lot’s “Baby Got Back.”
Before shouting out Minaj’s backside, Trump had yet again repeated his Husted story, which he debuted in Ohio on October 12, after learning the senator had played college football.
“I had just found out he’s a great athlete,” Trump said, before repeating his story about watching him speak after learning about his sporting past. “I’m looking at him up and down, I’m studying him and then I made the mistake. I told, in fun, I said ‘I looked at his ass and I’ve never done that with a man before’. It’s true. Off the record: women yes, men no, OK?”
After highlighting Minaj’s rear-end, Trump returned to the recycled a-- chat. “So I revealed the story to 30,000 people and it’s in Ohio.... I said, ‘His ass was like a big piece of muscle, his feet were massive, his fingers looked like sausages... and I patted him on the shoulder and I hurt my hand, ‘cause it was like hitting a piece of steel.’”
He then addressed resulting media attention.
“When I said `I looked at his a--’ the press went crazy the next day. They said ‘What’s with Trump? All he wants to do is talk about a man’s ass, there’s something different about Trump.’ They didn’t explain the whole football deal. That’s why with the fake news, you cannot do that stuff. You have to go right down the middle.”
Following Trump highlighting her from behind, Minaj later faced the audience to speak at the rally.
“You know, I don’t like being overshadowed,” Trump said as he introduced Minaj. “And this woman overshadows me, and I’m angry about it. They’re going crazy over her. ”
After the rapper appeared on the stage, she started the crowd chanting, “We love Trump.”
She then told the audience, “We want our children to grow up in a place where we can be proud of. We don’t want our children to be bombarded with sex changes, right? We don’t want that for our children. We want people to leave the children alone. Leave them out of it, right?”
Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, was sentenced to one year of home detention in 2022 for failing to register as a sex offender, following an attempted rape conviction from 1995. Minaj and Petty have a son together.
In 2020, the rapper’s brother Jelani Maraj was sentenced to 25 years to life for raping an 11-year-old girl.
Minaj, who was born in Trinidad and Tobago, finished her guest speech at the rally by telling Trump, “It is an honor to stand with you every single time, I will continue to support you forever and ever, and if you run again, I will support you again.”
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung posted a video on X where he served softball questions at Minaj as they were both seated on Air Force One.
After asking “Is there anyone who works harder on the campaign trail?,” Minaj replied, “Absolutely not. You have a man who’s won three elections, legacy media continues to attack him... and what does he do? He outruns people that are half his age...”
The Daily Beast has contacted the White House for comment.
